Just finished another trot down to X-ray on the crutches, under Hannetjie’s expert guidance. It’s getting easier, but it leaves me knackered. How do I find a local taxi company that takes wheelchairs? Just ring round, yellow pages, or is there a list?

Recovery progresses. Amazing how you gan get into more pain as you heal; the ribs arestitching into bigger plates and the latter are moving tectonically, and so I’ve been swearing a lot of late. Comfort is improving, but the gaps between comfort are getting worse. Diclofenac is currently my best friend, though it combined with the food
