Here is today’s breaking news…
Yesterday a possible terrorist plot was thwarted. The country’s airports were in chaos. American media has provided wild speculation that we are re-reporting because we can’t think of anything else to talk about, since there is no new information today. Nobody has thought to go sift government press releases for information they are trying to

New, British Bulletin Board Libel Case
MumsNet So here we are: one of Britain’s most wealthy and successful childcare experts demanding the closure of a community website run by mothers to enable parents to swap support, advice and the odd joke. […] Quite apart from the fact that Ms Ford’s legal moves now threaten our very existence, we think this case

stuff that is wrong with me
A short catalogue entry, for the sake of getting it down in ASCII: Fractured tibia, just below the plate of the knee joint. It was screwed together in France, and the screws will come out in a couple of years. Apparently it may give me arthritis in later life, but that might happen anyway, and

shattered
It’s wednesday again, and i’ve been in the Priory for a week. I’m shattered. Today I got wheelchaired upstairs to physiotherapy for a wonderful bath in this big blue motorised side-opening thing; then Mandy arrived and pushed my wheelchair out into the garden for a while, then i spent 45 minutes on the CPM (continuous
