Goggles : The Google Maps Flight Sim

Goggles

You have got to try this – it’s v.silly and v.fun without having v.much point, exactly what you need when you are stuck in bed and staring at the ceiling…

You’re right, fantastic, just flown from The Embankment to City – staffed the Fine Line and now I’m back to work.

    See you soon!

Doesn’t work here.. ahhh.. needs Flash 8, which isn’t available for Linux..

    Move along, nothing to see..

ps: I also have reports of it working well on Solaris 10 SPARC and x86 over SunRay, so I suspect you are just using a particularly po-faced and self-mortifying distribution rather than any complete inability of Linux…

But that’s you all over. 😎

Not the case, I’ve got Shockwave Flash 7.0 r63 but there are no plans to release Flash 8 for Linux, they’re going to go straight to Flash 8.5 apparently..

Nothing to do with the operating system, it’s whether the vendor releases their product for it that’s the problem..

Mmm, anyone care to speculate what the “fire” button is all about? Do you think they might eventually turn this onto a multi-player thing?

hiya just googled my game and found this place,

Glad you liked it.. Not going to make it multiplayer as it’d be too expensive (most decent xml socket server apps for flash charge by the usercount) and the lag would be a pain (ever seen any action games for flash? theres like 2 in existance). I’ve just finnished the script for 3d buildings so may have a database that adds has the locations of famous landmarks stored on it, and will superimpose a very basic shootable version on top of it (will just be a simple cube I imagine).

    Thanks for playing!

P.s. sorry linux guys… may make a flash 7 version but dont hold your breath 🙁
