  • Minibar London

    2007/08/31 23:19:21 BST

Just back from Minibar London – it was nice, I wish there had been more speakers, but the guy from Moo.com was amusing, as was the chap from the company beginning with “Z” who were doing something about search for real-estate/lettings and other things… er, yeah, well I was at the back and the audio

  • Trade Union Congress backs Facebook

    2007/08/31 11:23:21 BST

Surprisingly sound… The TUC is advising companies that the outright banning of such sites in the workplace may be something of an “overreaction.” Instead, the group said, it’s much better to focus on setting up formal policies for acceptable use of such sites in the workplace.

I just got IM’ed by Simon Phipps who was making a transparent attempt to plug the latest (if awkwardly titled) posting on his Sun Blog – but that’s OK, because it’s a fairly cool thing 🙂 – although I believe the actual goal is best described on the relevant Sun Wiki page: Purpose: The goal

  • I love Windows…

    2007/08/27 10:52:27 BST

I love Windows. I love the way you can boot it to do something small but urgent, having not booted for several weeks, and it will chug, chunder, whiz and chime, repeatedly demanding to be rebooted whilst achieving precisely nothing for you. So many flashing lights! So many resonant bongs! It’s like a flower that

…shame about the song; well actually it’s an OK song (heh) but the video is superb; and it is just about worth waiting until about the end. I can’t help but think it’s the sort of thing Gondry would have had a hand in making. Via
