The Trend of the Month…

…is the old die-hard bloggers finally realising that their blogs need an overhaul of look and feel, possibly not to mention method and purpose.

Really.

Watch this space, or go check out Twitter feeds for Hugh and Winer, although of course as usual they are slightly behind the curve for reasons that will become apparent later this week… 🙂

  1. That’s interesting, since pretty much the only time I actually experience a blog’s look and feel, these days, is when I post a comment on it. Otherwise, the look and feel of the numerous blogs I keep up to date with reading, is dictated by my RSS feed aggregator and how I configure it.
The main exceptions to this are the likes of Samizdata and the Schneierblog, where the feeds truncate, rather than replicate the entire text of, postings. I really wish they wouldn’t do this.

  2. Ihear you, Dave.I hate that samizdata.net truncates feeds myself. I have already investigated the issue but due to its longevity, samizdata.net is an old lumbering monster (currently on Movable Type). The last person who was doing a major techie surgery on it couldnt work out how to set up the full feeds.clever geek suggestions welcome – you have been warned!
