@alecm That’s not the end of the story, though. The government has to respond to petitions with 10,000 signatures, which it has now done (in entirely predictable terms). For a petition with over 100,000 signatures (which this one now greatly exceeds) the Parliamentary Petitions Committee has to consider whether to hold a debate in Parliament. I’m not sure about the criticism of the drafting of the petition BTW. It come across as measured and highlights one area of genuine concern (hobby forums).

I dearly hope you are correct and that I am wrong, my feeling is that the headline is simply too broad and too blunt and leads to instant dismissal by arrogant politicians
