Wouldn’t that be a nice extra option for Autoroute? “Avoid Speed Cameras”

[blogs.motorbiker.org]

Many of you don’t use a GPS and to plan your trips you use websites that map out your itinerary. One consistently great site for route planning is viaMichelin (by the producers of the Michelin Red Book and Green Book – Red is for food & hotels, green for tourist information).

Well, viaMichelin just got better. You can now let the website show you where all the fixed radars are here in France. It will also show you all scheduled road works at that moment.

So, if you’re planning your weekend, or planning your holidays in France, not only will this website tell you how to get there, how much it will cost you, where the great restaurants are, or where you can sleep for the night, but now it will also tell you where you need to watch out for those damned automatic digital radars!!

The radars are shown as a blue icon, and mousing over them will tell you exactly where they are situated. In the turn-by-turn instructions, they will also tell you where the radars are !
