day 4 of the training…

…and, good heavens, the weather forecast was correct. Bright, sunny, warm…

I got in late to the training (had real life to attend to in the morning) and am just wrapping up e-mail, etc, whilst Dave and Ray do an excellent job of combining education and experimentation.

We are re-convening at my house later this afternoon to have a barbeque and talk about SunPS career paths in security – something that PS UK have invented as a series of job roles, and which the attendees are eager to learn more about and take back to their respective countries, so they can get job credit for their security work, and even specialise in the topic.

To me, this is all good – the EMEA PS field is taking-on security as a sales opportunity, as a quality that they want to deliver as part of their standard solutions, and as a potential career path.

All of this, however, is dwarfed by the task of shopping for a BBQ for 20 people, getting home, cleaning house and cooking, and switching off all my computers because god forbid I am letting 20 hackers roam around my house whilst my home network is up.
