A question for all my #LGBT friends

Hypothetical:

Assume that fully-equal, level playing field, non-discriminatory marriage rights have been established; with that in mind, do you refer to your lifetime-committed, deeply-beloved, same-gender, other-half-to-whom-you-are-married as:

  1. a traditionally gendered noun such husband or wife
  2. a gender-neutral noun such as partner
  3. “the old ball and chain”
  4. “him/her indoors”
  5. other, please describe

I’m actually most interested in majority preferences regarding the first two – like: do you preserve the gender-neutral when marriage is established – but creativity is also welcome.
