Darren Hayman’s Lido – he’s doing a digital release, and (I think) a physical one too that you can order online.

He’s also (entirely understandably) fretting that someone’s torrented the album already:

…I just live in hope that the network effect will work in his favour; I do strongly believe that those who torrent typically either:

• would not have bought anyway, or
• are filling-in gaps in their collection of weird stuff that would be otherwise unobtainable (eg: concert bootlegs, rarities)

…and I further believe that there’s a net upside in the greater reach that wider perception brings.

So I wish him the best of luck. And I’ll go fish out my credit card.
