It’s disappointing that you won’t offer an opinion.
At a CISO conference several years ago while listening to a panel discussing the (lack of) women in security professions, one Male speaker said that the only reason women went into security was to extend their maternal instincts so why bother. He was a leading European academic in the field.
Codes of Conduct may act as a transition point. Until these tactical buffoons learn how to work in a mixed team and until acceptance of woman as more than the sum of their physical parts takes shape, it may be necessary. But, I didn’t expect this to remain a problem in 2012.
Recent attendance at a Cloud Conference saw provocatively dressed ‘booth babes’ still employed to draw in a crowd by a few companies. Heavy sigh.
