What would happen if the Church mandated filters on Internet access carried by its network?

It might happen:

A wireless internet service provider is using church spires to beam its broadband network across rural Norfolk.

From the top of All Saints church in the village of Salhouse, Norfolk, it’s striking how many other church towers can be seen, rising up from nearby villages. They are the tallest man-made objects for some distance and they could be the key to delivering decent broadband speeds to rural Norfolk.

WiSpire, a wireless internet service provider (WISP) backed by the Diocese of Norwich, is putting transmitters and receivers on top of Norfolk churches and using them to beam broadband signals across the county.

    (and we both know the rest, in terms of destination-obscuring proxying, decrypting and routing, etc.)

    Also, filters or not, various Black Hats of every other religious denomination would probably have a bash at DoSing it.

  3. Not THAT striking, it is Norfolk.

    Both flat, and overrun with Norman churches.

    Tallest man made structure around is slap bang next to my old primary school. Seems the primary school may have got a tad nervous.

    Hmm they have Rackheath covered, through they had a modern church without a spire, maybe I’ve overlooked one.
