The new King of the British bike industry is also the largest production motorcycle in the world – the 2.3ltr Triumph Rocket III.
There’s not much point in me reviewing what is comprehensively written-up (or pointed-at) elsewhere [www.motorcycle-blog.com] but I will note that:
- it is smaller/shorter than I expected
- most of the chassis, is engine
- the pillion seat would barely take a midget supermodel
- the radiator will be a bug-magnet
- blipping the throttle has a BMW-esque shaft-drive torque reaction
- it sounds great
- from the seat it looks, erm, “buxom”. not “fat”. definitely not “fat”. just “buxom”, or “pinched”, perhaps
- from the seat you can also see the chrome widget on the front wheel fender; i gather some find this disconcerting
- “this is a british bike?”
