I’ve often felt that the village gets slightly less severe weather than the surrounding areas – no idea why, perhaps it’s something to do with wind patterns and the rising hill of the Heath to the north – but there’s 4cm of snow out there at best, it’s dappled with grass poking through, and it’s not holding on terribly well.

Now ice, that could be something else entirely, once the worst of this melts…
