I’ve done a little adaptation to the look-and-feel to try and make the weblog more pleasant to read; also the date-handling is a little smarter, and I am experimenting with colour a little to try and make things more legible.
I feel considerably better and more able to cope with work today; Joep, myself and Ray Riggs went for fish & chips (chicken for Joep, who does not like fish) and had a swift half pint down the pub, after showing the others around some of the 23-odd antiques shops in the village.
Crashed-out early (2330h) after an evening’s worth of pandering to cats, and got up at 0800h – hence probably feeling a lot better.
It’s moderately sunny and warm – better than the storm I woke up to on monday, which destroyed my neighbour’s gazebo and blew the debris across my lawn (narrowly missing my motorbike).
Europe is quiet, today, as people tend to be on vacation, celebrating International Labour Day or whatever it’s called; in the UK we will get next monday off in lieu. Means IRC is a bit dead, though.
