Images of the St Paul’s protest…

So I was returning from Barcamp last night and walked down from Angel towards St Pauls, and decided to stop in at the notorious camp where I took some pictures:

…including the ensuite Banksy; being as I have a case of wage within the machine I can only say it all reminded me of 1986 but without the preceding 8 years of Margaret Thatcher to give it any supposedly just cause.

A video will be forthcoming so you can hear the sounds of the locals, too, and see their twinklehands hand signals.

One thing puzzles me about all these “anti-capitalism” protests; it may be down to censorship or it may be just lack of agreement among their ranks, but I can’t help but think that a position of being “anti” something as fundamental as capitalism is actually half a position. What would these protesters replace capitalism with? Are they Anarchists, Communists, (insert further sociopolitical systems here), or something new of their own devising? If a magic wand was waved which caused money to become meaningless, what would they proceed to do? Have they been asked?
