I had the scheduled followup call from Amazon re: my Kindle 3 issues, this morning.
Summary:
- they are refunding the cost of my unlighted cover – I can keep the old one and turn it into a notebook
- they are giving me a gift certificate
- the certificate combined with the refund will buy me a lighted cover, if i would like that
- they are replacing my kindle via express delivery, because it will not take a full charge (the light will not go green after several hours charging)
I wish the problem had never occurred, but they have done a good job with being helpful and keeping me happy.
New device should turn up tomorrow.
