always take the weather with you

The weather is horrible; the Australian colleague to whom I was chatting yesterday told me:

Whenever someone tells me they’re going to the UK, I ask them what kind of camera they have, and how fast the shutter-speed is, because they’ll need a good one in order to catch the sunshine.

…which is a little unfair, but off-summer has a hint of truth about it. Blatting rain, winds are gusting towards the 60mph region around here, and I am being careful not to park my car within drop-radius of any of the trees near my house. I’ve had two near misses in the past five years, and that is one specific aspect of my luck that I would prefer not to push.

Tomorrow is meant to be worse. Here’s hoping sunday will be bright and sunny.

It’s not impossible, I assure you… “Climate? We have no “climate”. We just have lots and lots of “weather”…

When you first set up the rss feed to livejournal, all your posts were appearing in full. Now they all seem to be behind an lj-cut tag. Why is that? I preferred it when they just appeared in full.
