- got her brand new BMW R1200GS on monday…
- which incidentally is a bike after which i like totally lust…

- so she got it…
- rode it to work and back for two days…
- only to find on the second day it had dumped oil all over the rear wheel…
- and having alerted the dealer, took it back…
- to find several dozen BMW senior engineers waiting with cameras to photograph the problems for the guys in germany, and to apologise profusely…
- and provide a courtesy bike.
i will be waiting a year or so before getting mine anyway, but it’s nice to know that customer service is not dead. 😎
their response might be predicated upon the fact that hers is one of probably less than a dozen in private hands at the moment; the bike had its worldwide launch on 13th march.
