well, i am not entirely happy with blosxom, not least for the amount of time that it takes to learn how to spell the name.
chiefly my issues are with the fast-and-loose approach it takes to virtual URL pathnames – mixing and matching real filenames with virtual directory names in an apparently arbitrary manner.
that said, it does align nicely with my belief that the unix file system can make a wonderful, simple database when it is used in the spirit for which it is designed – so i am happy to play a little longer.
alas that blosxom does suffer from incestuous plugin bloat – that a lot of the plugs seem to pull in requirements for other plugins.
this is of course one of the benefits of object-oriented programming, that you can spend hours trqawling through libraries of other-people’s-code, and still call it “work”.
or at least, that is an advantage if you are being paid to do it.
