stuff like having darren and his wife bronwyn over to the house of an evening, cooking some really nice local lamb chops delazed with marsala; roll-cut carrots with butter, cream mash of king edwards with mustard, and “this is quite possibly the best bread and butter pudding i have ever had in my life”, as darren kindly put it. a lovely evening with surprisingly low geek content, and a lot of advice about world travel in both directions. there have been other things – the saga of getting extra/replacement wingmirrors for the suzuki so that i can see properly behind me, for purposes of advanced training; my riding experience is much nicer now, and was proven in a 120-mile ride out to worthing seafront on the south coast, for breakfast last sunday. this past week has been spent doing work however, and so i can expend time in writing it up properly. so i shall.
