I don’t care what anybody says – as long as I continue to meet modern day skatepunks and thrashers listening to Louis Armstrong’s “Wonderful World” declaring it to be the best piece of music ever written; and hoodies on tube trains reading “To Kill a Mockingbird” and driven to share, anybody who complains about the decline of society as a whole can get stuffed.

@Nick – of all Jazz, just about the only stuff I can stomach is Louis and Fats, and then only in modest doses; something happened to the wider space of Jazz after WWII – something which I don’t understand, but it doesn’t work for me, and perhaps for others.
However I notice that nobody’s quibbled about the book…
