I went here 36 years ago, and they haven’t torn it down yet.(tags: school)

I also went here, 23 years ago. It was a Catholic boys school. They flattened it, salted the ground, and built a housing estate over it. And I am happy they did that.(tags: school)

Re: My name is Inigo Montoya – whenever I have been required to “share an interesting fact about myself” with a bunch of strangers at a training event I have always told them I collect Pyrenean birthing spoons. I’ll make up answers to two or three questions about this fascinating hobby before cheerfully admitting I made it all up as I don’t care to share anything real about myself, am rarely interested in other trainees’ so-called interesting facts, and find the birthing spoons usually gets a laugh. It also lets the trainers know who the troublemaker in the group is right from the icebreaker activity.

Melanie and Alec,
Then there are the mischief makers like my aunt, who likes to approach strangers in a situation (for example) where they are criticizing a piece of artwork, and she introduces herself as the artist (not) and they politely say it was nice to meet her and then slink away. The rogue! 🙂
My elementary (public) school no longer physically exists. I was sorry they tore it down. I have (mostly) good memories there.
Alec, you rascal! 🙂
Some alma maters are more warmly emembered than others, too true.
