Those rear wheel locks are totally pointless to start with. After all a theif can merely lift the back wheel and walk off with the bike without opening the lock. A bike with one wouldn’t last 5 minutes in Oxford.
A lock like these has been fitted to both of the Trek bikes I’ve had. On the first I simply removed it and on the second I’ve just not bothered. I use a proper D-lock.
