Why I keep reading fark.com

Every so often I’m about to stop reading fark.com after yet another religion flamewar, or some mud slinging fest between “both sides” of the political spectrum, or similar tediousness and then something like this comes along:

An article gets posted how a Canadian fire truck (responding under a mutual assistance agreement) rushes to help out in New York state, and it is stopped at the border for eight minutes while the customs people check the credentials of the fire fighters.

Comments one of the farkers (“macinfarker“):

Thank God the borders aren’t guarded by the TSA. Imagine how much liquid they would’ve had to confiscate.
