The State Of My Broken Leg

Knee Shot

The news is good! My consultant took a look at the x-rays and declared them to be better than he was hoping, with little sign of damage remaining; in fact he’s rather curious to take a look inside, and so is pleased to be seeing me in a few weeks to open it up, take the screws out, and do an arthroscopy under spinal anaesthesia (so I am awake, can watch the whole thing on TV, and get a video of the operation; yes, he knows I am a geek) – he gets to take a look around the meniscus to see how it’s doing, and take a burr-grinder to some calcification on the bottom of the femur, which is making my kneecap go ‘click’.

Bottom line: no arthritis, excellent healing, more to come. 🙂

    Excellent news indeed 🙂

I guess you’ll be wanting your stick back, then – I’m walking fine now, so I’ll drop it in the boot and hand it over when we catch up next for caffeine.

A thought – if you were to post the video to YouTube, how much online objection do you think you’d get? ;->

Great news – let us know the date and if you need any assistance!

Walker – stick? What’s he been up to?

And I suspect at least one Biology teacher I know will be wanting the DVD for his kids to use in school!
