A couple of weeks ago I was honoured to be invited to the Blindside “barn raising” by William Heath, the director. To quote the “about page”:-
What’s going to go wrong in our e-enabled world? There are experts, but there’s no one expert. We’re all in this together, so let’s share our evidence and insights about the technical and social risks and try to explore the unforeseen consequences of the information age. That’s what this Blindside blog and wiki are for. Use it, tell anyone who might be interested. If you want to be an author just email us the piece.
Then we’ve got a date with the UK government’s information security authority to say what we came up with. Then we can all work out what best to do about it.
Blindside comes from the team that does Ideal Government now working with the information-assurance specialists Vega sponsored by the UK Cabinet Office CSIA.
It’s a cool project, and I hope to get the opportunity to talk with more people through Blindside in the future.
Also: They are looking for postings on any pertinent topics:
The Blindside blog and wiki is the place to share evidence, insights and concerns about the technical and social risks of the information age. Please use it, comment, and tell anyone who needs to know. To be an author just email us the piece.
…which may be a new channel for budding security experts with interesting opinions…
