There actually is a “.gb” domain, I know because I used to know some people working at the Defence Research Agency which was prettymuch the only site on the entire thing.

Perhaps this is all part of the plan: for the government to garner a “Brexit Dividend” by forcing everyone to re-register under “.gb”, which they can only do after promising to vote Tory.
