the flight back was terrible.
the bulkhead seat that i was assigned was not viable; about 3 hours into the flight i got cramped and coulf not sit in it any more because it was crushing my pelvis from side-to-side.
i spent the remainder of the flight spending short stints in the chair, walking around for “exercise” (no fun when you are barely awake) or lying full-length at the back of the plane, next to the exit hatch, catnapping but doing occasional bouts of isometrics and stretching in order to give the passers-by a viable excuse for the weird guy strung-out on the floor of a 747.
landing was a relief.
anyway – i am home, i have rebooted my systems, had a bath, snuggled the cats, and am due to go to bed with vitamins and tea.
having seen geoff’s ibook when out in the usa, i am strongly considering getting an apple, because my home firewall died last week (a 486 dx2/66 that had been running 24×7 since 1994) and so all my systems shall have to shuffle-down one in role.
i am due for a big purchase anyway.
