As reported elsewhere, a band of bikers from Sun went on a collcting rampage on behalf of [www.naomihouse.org.uk] – a local childrens’ hospice – and raised all-told almost 800 quid, which Sun doubled under the charity giving scheme yielding approximately 1600 pounds sterling.

As Clive put it: their costs may be running at something like 2.5 million pounds per year, but 1600 quid will pay for a child to use the hospice’s facilities for a couple of months.

That makes it very worthwhile.
