“Academic accused of bias for opposing smartphone ban in schools” | Times | …that most feared by fearmongers is popular rejection of simplistic narrative

So let me get this right, when a tory lord with no academic background in porn leads a review into porn and before it even starts pens an article about how bad porn is and lists all the porn she wants to ban and when the review is published it says exactly what she said she wanted to do before the review started that’s not bias https://desperate-living.com/2024/01/11/foregone-conclusions-in-search-of-evidence-yet-another-british-government-moral-panic/

But an actual scientist who’s spent years of academic research on the subject says something completely different to what non academic people want that’s bias?

Don’t get me wrong it does sound like she’s come to a forgone conclusion but the hypocrisy in reporting is so blatant.
