Subject: Bad News

Hi Folks,

The bad news is that Cynth had an argument with the dirt in Argentina on Friday. The good news is that she is at least alive to tell us all about it in due course (like when she can type with her right hand!).

Details are a little sketchy at the moment but I’ve just had a short email asking me to let you all know – three broken ribs, broken collar bone and a punctured lung (and the bike may be a write-off) but she’s out of hospital and staying with a doctor for a few days with a visit to a specialist tomorrow. I believe she is back in Chile at the moment.

Rumour has it that she was drinking wine on the doctors patio so I guess nothing much has changed 🙂 Only time will tell if the journey continues in a few weeks or sometime in the future but I’m sure she’d love to hear from you all – anyone have a spare loan bike in South America? 🙂
