@alecm Just be thankful for all those Google 20% time projects which never shipped and so don't need terminating.

@alecm it sounds funny but the original article referred to the depreciation in 2018. At that time dynamic links was indeed the alternative proposed. They deprecated the dynamic links product much later.
So it might be just poorly worded before but nobody said to move to that deprecated product today really as implied in the tweet….or at least not how I read it. I read it as “hey we said we’re going to turn off this thing in 2018 and we are going to proceed with it as announced.
