…due to a surprisingly silly fall which resulted in an ambulance journey and a rough week in hospital, since which I have been recovering at home.
I’m now comfortably tottering around the house and outdoors on crutches, and I’m astounded that less than 100 years ago I would (at best) still be in traction in hospital:
