Having seen it for the first time today, hands-up anyone else who wondered whether The Incredibles was scripted by someone who was aiming to produce the Disney version of Watchmen

After all, [www.imdb.com] was based on the moderately savage [www.imdb.com] (ignore the latter’s frothy IMDB review and try [www.amctv.com]) – so I suspect it possible…
I’ll keep my hand down. The Incredibles (which I really enjoyed) is a simple example of the “let’s tell the story on two levels to amuse both wide-eyed kids and faux-cynical adults”. Brad Bird’s Edna was perfect – straight out of AbFab!
No, you’re not the only one, I’ve had a few discussions with people regarding this. General concensus was more a good nod to than actually developing it. Though the first part of the film did scream it. Of course we http http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0409459/ to look forward to.
s’good, but if you’ve not read it, I highly recommend Watchmen as an introduction to the genre of graphic novels.
