For those not in the know, our friends at Google purchased Keyhole, an ASP which provides real-time satellite imagery. you can zoom in and see street detail just like a real NSA agent. (We don’t get the details the NSA/NRO agents get, but you can grab the idea.)They also have the ability, when you’re looking at a city from a 3D vantage point to highlight businesses in various buildings.
Now, why hasn’t anyone added this in with a car navigation system. You can drive along. If you get lost, you can see a 3D image of the area you’re in, design a path to get out, and you can reference oddball signs as landmarks to look for.
Jon’s idea is pretty cool, but I am not sure that they are so obvious; a GoogleMap service likewise – although that does not seem to have stopped someone going out and registering [www.googlemaps.com]
Maybe GoogleSpooks is next? 😎
