The cats are blissed out.
As a consequence of some simple mathematics (surface area of a sphere increases as the square of the radius, volume increases as the cube) I tend to leave switching-on my house’s central-heating until later in the year than do normal people.
When the radiators do come on, my cats suddenly deliquesce into non-newtonian blobs of fur which seek every opportunity to adhere to each and every radiator surface in the house.
Also, they become curiously like velcro, in their unwillingness to become detatched.
