I’ve worked in Sun Professional Services EMEA for my longest contiguous period of my employment inside Sun; I moved from SunLabs into SunPS back in, what, late98 / early99 ? Basically about half of my career at Sun.
Prior to that I was in Systems Administration, then the Network Security Group (internal net.cops), then Network Operations (building firewalls back when that was still a black art), the SunLabs doing security R&D.
Then SunPS, culminating in my role as Chief Security Architect for the EMEA (Europe/MidEast/Africa) region.
It’s been fun, but now has come opportunity for a change.
As documented elsewhere, Sun has formed a small, “global” team to focus upon our Wall St customers – or more accurately upon key financial-related customers worldwide, albeit that New York will loom large in our interests.
I’ve been invited to do security. 😎
