I think that the short version is:

1) we do things differently nowadays

2) the assumption that just because you’re plugged into a device you’re being antisocial is both narrow and wrong

3) just because it’s new doesn’t mean that it’s better or more honest; instead it’s different, and with that difference comes new and different risks
