Local Success Highlighted Nationally

The success of Northamptonshire Safety Camera Project in reducing road casualties has been highlighted at a high-profile meeting at the Houses of Parliament today.

The Chief Constable of North Wales Police, Richard Brunstrom announced that in just one year, Northamptonshire was already a third of the way to a DETR target to reduce road casualties by 40% by the year 2010.

Key points that came out of the meeting included:
