Microsoft celebrates IE6 death as Google downranks Chrome

Microsoft could not be happier to see the back of IE6

The software giant held the light-hearted celebration as it revealed that the program was used by less than 1% of US internet surfers.

    Amusingly the oldest unpatched vulnerability for IE6 in the Secunia database allows websites to enumerate installed components to see if any have known vulnerabilities. The words “duck” “barrel” and “shooting” spring to mind.
