There aren’t many Xtracycles in the UK, so this should be a local novelty – in fact I’ve not seen any, yet.

The frame is my 1993 Raleigh Amazon which cost £300 at the time and heaven knows what it is equivalent to now; however it has a wonderful paintjob – rich spatter-metallic green/blue/gold, called “rainforest” if i remember right – and I’ve stripped all the decals which were frankly shite.

Required boiling water and “Gunk” (degreaser) to remove all the glue.

New cassette (11/34) and rims (Mavic EX721 on Deore M530 – this is not a performance bike, it is just meant to be solid) – chain, train and brakes to be sorted in the next few days.

No maintenance stand, but in its absence the xtracycle kickback centre-stand serves very well.
