It just struck me that this new Prince Charles rumour nonsense is a wonderful opportunity to see whether the net provides enough search engine capacity to get anything you want irrespective of the UK legal system. The sum total of what you get inside the UK is something like:
Whatever this man Fawcett says, Charles didn’t do it.
…and mining Google News with searches like:
“prince charles” fawcett -location:uk -location:australia “prince charles” -knowles -bryan -location:uk -location:australia
Where the Aussies seem to toe the line wrt: the injunction. So far, the Chicago Sun-Times says that Charles was “found in bed with a servant”, and a paper in NZ has awkward phrasing which makes it sound like the servant may be Fawcett himself (“Charles and a male servant”) although that may just be lunatic Kiwi grammar. If you aggressively do not care about the royals, so be it – I just feel this is an interesting experiment to see how far censorship can travel before it fails.
