Neologism du jour: Cumulophile, of Cloud Computing

Cumulophile: one who raves about the coming importance to “end users” of “Cloud Computing” without acknowledging that the functionality of a client/server service is more important to the “end user” than the shape of the infrastructure which provides it.

Contrast: “Everything’s HTTP nowadays, who cares what’s on the backend so long as it scales for growth?”

Oppose: “Peer-to-Peer” networks, where architecture both reflects and drives service delivery.
