Rebuild your MacBook Air, get 5Gb+ space back…

The title says it mostly: I just wiped my MBA and started the reinstall, and by dropping GarageBand, iWeb, Language Translations and a bunch of Printer Drivers, I recovered 5.5Gb of storage for other purposes… and I kept iPhoto, iDVD, and a handful of other things.

Some of that stuff is just bloat.

Next: restore from TimeMachine…

    You can also get back about 4GB by using Monolingual to remove unwanted languages and another GB by removing all the designable.nib files that Apple accidentally left in the applications packages. See the following article:
