suzi had an epileptic fit at 0300 this morning; it sounded like the was having a game of “chase me” with buster, or had a mouse in the house, but i opened the bedroom door to find her flat on her side, one leg spasmed out full length, another cramped inwards, drooling, whirling around like a pinwheel as the spasms rocked her body. I picked her up and comforted her, kept her quiet as best I could, and she gradually came out of it over the course of ten minutes. She wouldn’t settle for an hour afterwards, but eventually curled-up on the bed. The vet is due to see her on Sunday anyway, and I stopped by to check if this might be a side-effect of antibiotics she’s on this week. Apparently not, but if it happens again anytime soonish, they’ll run some bloodwork and investigate further. Apparently one-off episodes are not uncommon.
