Thought from walking around London

Basic Instinct 2 is out soon, and posters for it liberally plaster the underground, bus-stops and so forth. I suspect they are trying to create an atmosphere of dark and brooding predatory sexuality, and the UK poster differs from the USA one in that the marketers seem to be trying to buy into the the Christine Keeler photo mythos…

but what they alas have created is a moon-faced overly-made-up-slapper sitting painfully atop a 2″ diameter steel pole.

Oops.

Too cryptic even for you, Alec. What the hell are you talking about?

I take it he’s referring to the Basic Instinct 2 poster

oops – i tihnk i must have failed to paste an extra paragraph this morning; but jander got it spot on. Alas there are no versions of the poster on the web that I can find, but take it on faith that I’m telling the truth.

If someone in London reads this and can submit a photo, I would be obliged.

There are four of those posters on large bill boards near the BMW Mini works.

It looks as though Sharon Stone is about 70 and sitting astride a black chair backwards with the chair back towards the camera.

I’m sure those with a fetish for OAP sex might find it attractive.
