…and whilst we’re on the subject of the P-word, I was vegetating in front of the television over the Christmas break, and decided that – from my personal perspective – the deepest, darkest, outright sexiest woman I have ever seen act is Elizabeth Taylor in her lead role in Cleopatra.

It doesn’t matter to me that it’s an inaccurate film – overhyped, occasionally overacted and is clearly far too glossy – but it’s still a story portrayed by a woman who just steams confidence and sizzles with passion to match. Plus, she’s (mostly) dressed. Which is great.

It doesn’t take nakedness to make someone sexy. Often quite the opposite, in fact. So to someone more modern who does what she does really well – albeit in an entirely different sphere – viz: Amanda Congdon of Rocketboom, and although I wouldn’t place her in the Taylor league yet, her bright chirpy injection of humour into an otherwise Dilbert afternoon is always a tremendous relief.

By virtue of my mentioning / posting best wishes regarding Amanda’s getting mugged last year, I started to accrue hits for people searching for information about her.

Here’s a little statistic from my logfiles, for those who read Unix:

So that’s 192 people searching for information about Ms Congdon, 29% of whom are searching along with the word “naked”.

Mmm. Grow up, you pitiful nerds.

Learn to appreciate people for what they are and what they do.
