Anthony Hopkins in a Biker Movie?

We’ve had Long Way Round and The Motorcycle Diaries, and it looks like Hollywood has identified a taste for bikes and adventure and is capitalising with The World’s Fastest Indian:

IMDB: In `60s New Zealand, at the bottom of the world, Burt Munro takes a 1920 Indian motorcycle and, delightfully without resources other than his own obsession and a Kiwi #8 wire mentality, spends his retirement rebuilding the bike and following his dream to go to Speed Week at Salt Lake in Utah. Under funded, without the support of a team and against all the odds he not only makes it to Bonneville, he sets a world land spend record, not once, but again and again.

I’ve just downloaded the HD trailer from Apple (gotta try-out that QT7) and it looks like great fun, although there’s always the risk that the trailer may not match the movie.

Whatever. I welcome it. Anything that improves the press for bikers is OK by me. Anthony Hopkins being avuncular should not hurt, even if it does look also a bit like an innocent abroad pic.
