DIY Speech Bubbles

I printed 50,000 of these speech bubble stickers. I place them on top of movie posters, ads and signs all over New York City. Passers are invited to fill them in. I go back and photograph the results.

…some interesting ones; I don’t like the context as much as I do some grafitti, but considered separately it’s quite interesting.

This reminds me of a sequence of pictures in “The Book of the SubGenius”.

A bunch of Christians had been putting up posters saying “Jesus is our Hope”.

The Subgenii had been defacing these with stickers which simply said “Bob”.

This resulted in posters reading “Jesus is our Bob”, “Bob is our Hope” and (the one which cracked me up) “Jesus is Bob Hope”.
