- Wednesday:
- Call insurer, book car windscreen replacement prior to upcoming “MOT” annual vehicle inspection – reason: a small chip in the windscreen that had previously been repaired but is now starting to spread in a radial, starburst pattern of cobweb-like cracks.
- Thursday:
- RAC Auto-Windscreen team arrive, do windscreen replacement, seems like a good job.
- Friday:
- MOT test in afternoon, drive to Basingstoke, erad e-mail and watch movie on laptop while car is tested. Car passes with clean bill of health.
- Saturday:
- Drive to Camberley along newly and pointlessly tarred-and-gritted A30; car in opposite lane hurtles past, kicks up pebble that puts a small starburst-like chip into new windscreen.
Sigh.
